Unas grietas en el terreno abiertas por la lluvia y el paso del tiempo, que permiten adivinar la presencia de restos antiquísimos enterrados, inician la excavación.

Proponemos un proyecto que apenas se eleve del suelo, sólo lo necesario para meternos en el mismo terreno en el que los restos arqueológicos van apareciendo. Esta sencilla propuesta se debe, por un lado, a que se ha considerado la arquitectura enterrada más sostenible y las condiciones de protección de los objetos contenidos optimizadas si éstos son preservados bajo tierraPor otro lado, una construcción excesivamente masiva perturbaría la continuidad de un abrumador paisaje, hecho de miles de verdes a los que mirar, y rodeado de montañas, valles y praderas. Como único complemento incluiríamos una cubierta tendida sobre el paisaje para, aprovechando la luz del sol, hacer uso de la energía solar.

Some cracks in the ground, opened by the rain and the passing of time and that reveal the presence of ancient remains, lead to the first excavations.

We propose construction just raised some scarce meters over the ground, the necessary to enter the same area where the archaeological remains are unearthed. This simple proposal raises from the conviction that one of the most sustainable architectures is the buried one and from the fact that the objects’ preservation is optimized when they are placed in underground. In addition, a massive construction would disrupt the continuity of an extensive landscape, made of green patches and surrounded by mountains, valleys and prairies. As unique complement, we would take advantage of the solar energy through a single roofing laid over the landscape to capture the sun’s power.
